Redeemed: The Cover
Ah, the story of the cover is alive and pulsating with what many
would discount as uncanny coincidence. While I have no precise explanation
as of yet, coincidence cannot possibly be part of it.
Some time ago, a talented artist painted a hauntingly beautiful
portrait of a young woman. Surrounding that woman were creatures
of the oceans and a plethora of images ethereal yet rooted in strong,
physical orientation. Years later, while browsing in a favorite
shop in Columbus, Ohio, I “happened” upon a group of
prints representing the art of that talented painter.
To say I was surprised could never begin to describe my reaction
when I picked up one of those prints. Stunned. Shocked. Amazed.
Breathless. Mystified. Combine those terms and sprinkle in whatever
other related words or concepts you can find. You might be able
to come close to describing the sheer physical reaction and the
incredible spiritual quake I experience even now when I look at
that picture. That artist had been to Chikondra. I just knew it.
Although she and I had never met, she had captured so many specific
symbols and images of the trilogy that I could hardly believe it!
After my initial shock subsided, I asked those on the Chikondra
journey with me to take a look at this piece of artwork. Their reactions
were the same as mine. How was it possible? Did I know this lady?
Had I shared the story of Chikondra with her? How could she have
known so much about what was, at the time, a secret place?
A few months later, I was fortunate enough to meet the artist at
the Universal Light Expo held in 2006 in Columbus. We were hardly
able to speak to one another because of the crowds and the hubbub.
We did, however, hug one another. How wonderful that hug! How blessed
I felt to have found her.
I cannot begin to thank this artist for her gracious agreement
to allow that piece of art to introduce the world to Guardian Redeemed,
the first installment of The Chikondra Trilogy.
Now, I am honored to introduce you to this amazing artist: Eva M.
Sakmar-Sullivan.

From Dreams of Stardolphin: The Visionary Art of Eva M. Sakmar-Sullivan
Eva is a Visionary Painter/Environmentalist. For the former commercial
artist and fashion illustrator, swimming with dolphins in Key Largo,
FL., marked a turning point in her career and led to the birth of
her company, Dreams of Stardolphin. The experience, she says, “lifted
the veils” and inspired her to spend two years painting sacred
and visionary images that can serve as “tools for transcending
the dimensions.” Her spiritual quest took her to ancient sites
in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Greece, Machu Picchu, Egypt and more
– places in which she gained additional inspiration for her
artwork. More recently, Eva has connected with dolphins, sea turtles
and whales in the Pacific.
Eva’s mission is that her artwork serve as an inspiration
tool to joyously facilitate personal and planetary healing, transformation
and love. To inspire the Highest Good of the viewer.
A portion of sales is donated to support environmental, animal
and humanitarian causes.
Some of Eva’s paintings are images on greeting cards, books,
magazines, CD and tape cassette covers. Many originals reside in
private collections.
